Daily Announcements for March 25

IMPORTANT  REMINDER!  The school will be closed on Monday, March 31, 2025 – April 4, 2025 for Spring Recess.  Classes will resume on Monday, April 7, 2025.

Important Library Message: Due to the library’s reconstruction this summer, books will not be available for check out starting April 7th (when we return from Spring Break). ALL BOOKS need to be returned to the library by April 30th.

ANN’S CLOSET REMINDER – Ann’s closet is open this FRIDAY during ALL lunch periods. The closet is open to all Glenbard East students and staff who wish to “shop.” All items are FREE!  We welcome everyone to join us to look for new clothes or even to “recycle” your old clothes by donating them. Donation boxes are located by Door 1, in the library, in all FRCs, and the main office. Ann’s closet is open during all lunch periods on the 2nd and 4th FRIDAYS of every month and is located on the 1st floor under the J stairway.

Key Club:  Come to our meeting on Tuesday during PLC in Room 251 to help fill eggs for the Lombard Park District egg hunt.  Last year, we filled over 6,000 eggs!  Bring your friends and let’s see if we can break that record!  Everyone is welcome.  

Return Your Library Books: Please check for any library books left in lockers, backpacks or at home and return books to the cart in the hallway or bring them to the circulation desk. If a book is ripped, waterlogged or damaged in any way, PLEASE RETURN IT. We do not charge for damaged or overdue books. If you have lost a book, please come speak with the library staff.

STRIVE:  Get help staying caught up with your workload.  Come to STRIVE after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Room 251 (across from the cafeteria) to work with STRIVE teachers. 

Varsity Girls Track & Field: Congratulations to the Varsity track and field team on their success at the Upstate 8 Indoor Conference Championship meet on Saturday. The Rams finished second out of fourteen teams, and they were first in the Upstate 8 East! The Rams were led by the following girls: Mackenzie Fodrey with first place finishes in pole vault, long jump, and triple jump; Emily Fisher with first place finishes in the 55m dash and high jump; Isabella Zucchero’s second place finish in the 55m hurdles; Andie Novak’s second place finish in the 800m run; Elena Kosorog in the 3200m run, and the 4×160 relay team of Kiza Emena, Haley Greenfield, Julia Daoud, and Emma Carneiro. All the girls who competed contributed to the team’s strong performance on Saturday.
