HELP SUPPORT GLENBARD EAST’S GAPP (GERMAN AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM) BY EATING AT CHIPOTLE TONIGHT (WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19TH) BETWEEN 4:00 P.M AND 9:00 P.M.- Chipotle is located at 695 Roosevelt Rd. in Glen Ellyn.  Bring in a copy of the flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier your supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Glenbard East German American Partnership Program.

PRISM-DAY OF SILENCE T-SHIRT DELIVERY WILL TAKE PLACE TODAY AND THURSDAY- Prism will be handing out t-shirts, to those that ordered one, in the cafeteria hallway during all lunch periods today and tomorrow.  Wear you “Day of Silence” t-shirt on Friday.  Wear one from this or previous years as a sign of solidarity.

JUNIORS- IT’S NOT TO LATE!  LAST CHANCE FOR 7TH ANNUAL ADVANCED JUNIOR LEADERSHIP THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 22ND- forms are available in the Main Office or room 143.  Arrive at the Field House no later than 7:45 a.m. and check in.  Advanced Junior Leadership Day will conclude at 10:00 p.m.

THE NATIONAL DAY OF SILENCE- is a nationwide event designed to protest the silence that lesbian, gay, bisexual, questioning/queer, and transgender people face and to offer steps toward ending that silence.  This year it occurs on Friday, April 21st.  On the Day of Silence, rather than speaking, participants show cards explaining their reasons for not speaking to people they encounter throughout the day.  We would like to thank you in advance for recognition of the Day of Silence on Friday.  Support within the school environment is critical when working toward all students feeling part of the GE community.  Questions?  See either of the PRISM sponsors:  Debra Bobinsky or Linda Heino.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS: 2017 PROM “MY KIND OF TOWN” IS SATURDAY, MAY 13TH- Prom will be held at Ashton Place in Willowbrook, IL.  Tickets can be purchased Tuesday, April 25th- Thursday, April 27th during all lunch periods outside the cafeteria for $65.00 each.  On Friday, April 28th a ticket can be purchased before or after school in the Guidance office for $75.00 each.  Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
LAST CHANCE EARLY BIRD POST PROM TICKETS FOR $35 THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 21st, DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS- Attention Juniors and Seniors!  Tickets include a charter bus to and from Six Flags, a buffet dinner and a Six Flag admission pass!  BOOM will also be playing at Six Flags that night!  You will need to have a signed permission form in order to buy the ticket.  Permission forms can be picked up in the Deans or Main Office.  Please see Ms. Miller, Mrs.Slusher, Mrs. Lepsi or Assistant Principal Anderson with questions!

ANIME CLUB- meets on Wednesdays at 2:45 p.m. in room 250.  All are welcome!

BLACK STUDENT UNION (BSU)- meets on Wednesdays at 2:45 p.m. in room 304.

LIBRARY MESSAGE/ATTENTION SENIORS- All library materials must be renewed or returned by this Thursday, April 20th in order to avoid lost book fines.  The library will clear all overdue fees, but your materials must be current.  If you still need your books, please renew them.  If you are not sure about your fines, check your “First Class” ASAP.  Questions? See Mrs. Roberts in the library.

GLENBARD EAST ART SHOW 2017- Please join us on Friday, April 28th, where you can experience the visual diversity and creativity of the RAM artists.  The art will be displayed in the Fine Art Foyer for viewing, beginning at 7:30 a.m.   We encourage teachers and their classes to come explore the exhibition.  Individual students and staff are encouraged to view the art during their free periods as well.

GLENBARD EAST ART SHOW 2017 VIEWING AND AWARDS- We encourage students to bring their family and friends back for an evening of art, refreshments and awards on Friday, April 28th.  Viewing begins at 6:30 p.m. and awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m.  The art show closes at 8:30 p.m.
MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION (MSA)- meets on Thursdays at 2:45 p.m. in room 304.

SOCIAL JUSTICE CLUB- meets on Thursdays in room 317 at 2:45 p.m.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: APRIL 27TH MANDATORY SENIOR MEETING- Please be advised that there is a mandatory senior meeting for graduation being held on Thursday, April 27th in Biester Auditorium during period 2.  Please report to your second period class for attendance and then the teacher will release you.
